Computer science students develop immersive VR fitness game
University of the Pacific computer science students are merging fitness and gaming with their virtual reality project, VR Mech Wars.
Led by Ethan Perez ’25, this student team is creating an "exer-game" that encourages physical activity through immersive gameplay.
Using an omni-directional treadmill, players can walk through virtual environments, battle enemies and earn upgrades—all while staying active. Learn more about their project in the People of Pacific blog.
